Keyboards cost like ten bucks these days, at least the crappy ones I use do. And spilling water on one might not even permanently damage it if I unplug it quickly enough. So this is a really benign option in most circumstances.

Yeah. Though it would be worse if it was a laptop keyboard. But still.
