You're as likely to survive as anyone is to survive a heart attack. The survival rate of a full on cardiac arrest is about 10%. That said angina is often called a mild heart attack, which I think should be included here. The survival rates on that are quite high (75-90% depending on the circumstances). Both have long term consequences, if you do survive, of course. And even if you only have the mild, 90% survivable type, your chance of having the full 10% survivable type in the future is now much higher. |
