It might not be a "boom, new asteroid belt" sort of destroy-the-world device. Maybe it's an "overrun the land with mutant carnivorous dandelions" doomsday, or a "plague that turns people into giant snails" doomsday, the sort that you can wait out in your bunker with a select group of loyal henchmen to repopulate the world afterward. |
