Careful, WYRerers. "Never sleep again" is different from "never _have_ to sleep again." In reality there's a rare genetic condition called Fatal Familial Insomnia that strikes late in life and makes a person unable to fall sleep, and as the name suggests it's fatal. Very nastily fatal, involving hallucinations and paranoia and dementia over the course of 7-18 months. Not a good way to die.

Does that mean I agree with their philosophical stance? If so, this basically means dying, because Daleks are very inhuman.
Usually these transformations allow you to keep your personality. In which case, I would be myself with Dalek powers. This would actually be fairly cool, power wise, especially if other Daleks don't exist.
It does mean you are a gross blob in a suit. But there are worse fates. I mean, I wouldn't pick it over "nothing happens" but its better than having your entire skin ripped off.
