Well, you could raise an island from the ocean floor if need be. But it occurs to me that the literal reading of this specifies a "patch of land", so it makes sense that the random location would not be in an ocean or lake. I found a website that serves up random locations on Earth and kept clicking until the first one that was on land. I got a spot just inside the northern edge of Bandingilo National Park in South Sudan. Looks like a pretty nice place, and not too hard to get to (I'd hate to have hit a spot in Antarctica or the heart of the Sahara or something like that). The local political situation could be a bit tricky, though, South Sudan is wretchedly poor and wracked with civil war. I'd probably want to keep a low profile. |
