revegelance

That would be incredibly disorienting. You would eventually get used to it, and your brain may even eventually reprogram itself for this new vision to be normal, but it would be awful at first. And if it switches back.

Your vision suddenly reverses so that everything is flipped front-to-back. Eg, when a person faces you you see their back, when you look at a wall you see its other side, etc.

Actually it would rotate itself again to be right side up within a few days. Experiments have been done that show just that. I'm thinking for this question though they wouldn't be able to.

Your vision suddenly reverses so that everything is flipped vertically

I would pick vertically. If our brains can compensate then it doesn't matter in the long run. In the short term however, vertically will be better. Why? Vertically is obviously wrong so it'll be harder to accidentally make mistakes, but horizontally actually looks like it could be correct, so you'd be more likely to walk into walls or in front of cars while you are adjusting.

actually your eyes would eventually flip themselves back over, but inverted, so either way you'd end up with a horizontal flip.
